We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to manage the technical delivery of audio visual and technical solution installations at live, hybrid and virtual events worldwide.
 
You will have a proven track record of project management within the live events sector, the ability to organise, multitask and prioritise in a fast paced environment, along with technical knowledge and outstanding client service skills.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the technical elements of projects from the point of quotation up until the point of delivery, including ensuring that the equipment recommended is consistent with the budgets allocated, and participating in post-event review meetings to discuss technical issues
  • Travelling globally to oversee and manage the on-site technical team on events and installing and de-rigging equipment on-site
  • Taking the role of senior video operator on-site during major productions and events
  • Providing the client with sound technical advice, prior to and during an event, and providing technical support as issues occur
  • Manage client demonstrations or in-house test set ups
  • Liaising with the warehouse regarding prep scheduled for each event and overseeing kit loading process where specific attention is required.
  • Adhering to and the promotion of company policies and procedures
  • Maintaining Health and Safety standards and ensuring on-site Health and Safety briefings are held

 

Qualifications and pre-requisites

  • Experience in technical management of live events.
  • Strong technical understanding across all areas of video, sound, lighting, networking and IT.
  • Commercial awareness and Budgetary skills - demonstrate a clear understanding of company business and the ability to effectively balance cost, quality and ensure profitability.
  • Meticulous planning skills and attention to detail.
  • The ability to work effectively across multiple projects within a fast paced environment and delegate appropriately
  • Flexibility to deal with the demands of working in the live event industry with the ability to facilitate overtime including early mornings, late evening and some weekend working
  • The ability and willingness to travel – it is expected that you will predominantly be working in and around the London area, however you will need to travel to our head office in Harlow Essex and further afield as required
  • Highly client focused (as delivering the best quality service to our clients is at the heart of what we do)
  • Strong, positive leadership skills with the ability to command respect, engage, motivate and gain commitment from others
  • Willingness to comply with and support company procedures and policies
  • A great team player
  • Full clean UK Driving licence
  • Rigging experience preferred but not essential
