Position Overview

 

The primary objective is to work in partnership with national accounts, field sales team and marketing to develop winning business plans, selling presentations, insights and strategic focus areas across future consumption outlets. This role primary area of focus includes future consumption outlets.


Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities

  • Bring together critical functions across National Sales, Sales Execution, Marketing, RGM/Pricing, Equipment, and external partners to execute growth-driving initiatives.
  • Provide sales updates including analysis of performance and metrics to meet and/or exceed our annual plan.
  • Support development and/or customize go-to-market plans and programs.
  • Align with Channel Manager on brand priorities for execution for front-line sales team.
  • Act as the “Voice of the Customer” in internal planning meetings
  • Influence, review tracking, and measure all relevant data to assess specific retailer and channel business trends to develop sales solutions and achieve results.
  • Steward innovation launch results for future consumption outlets, including plans, review customer facing presentation, present marketing drivers in appropriate meetings for internal and external customers.
  • Collaborate with commercialization leadership on brand and marketing rollouts to share knowledge and Best in Class examples.
  • Manage customer promotional and pricing issues.
  • May be asked to perform additional duties as necessary.

 

Position Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field from four-year college or university preferred. 
  • 7 years of successful CPG sales experience, specifically with national or regional, large revenue accounts; preferably in coffee service or foodservice; OR equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Experience with Community Coffee, even if unrelated, may fulfill this requirement at the discretion of the hiring manager with approval from Human Resources.
  • Knowledge, understanding and experience with grocery sales execution process required
  • Experience leading a sales department/team and coaching/developing future leaders in the organization required
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Membership in trade related association, preferred
  • Advanced account management with track record of success
  • Proven ability to manage and organize projects
  • Advanced PowerPoint and presentation skills
