Overview
This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects in manufacturing operations such as PCBA assembly, box build, custom configuration, and warehousing. These projects will mainly focus on reducing cost, increasing outgoing quality levels, improving delivery, and promoting safety. The Industrial Engineer will interface with many different departments located on the local campus as well as with international entities. This position requires exceptional communication, leadership and project management skills in order to drive and maintain change throughout the company.
Responsibilities
- Utilize lean manufacturing ideology to design and execute innovative floor plans
- Determine labor standards using statistical analysis and mathematical calculations
- Evaluate trends in production and warehousing data and present recommended actions
- Professionally document processes to provide visibility into manufacturing activities
- Review existing processes and propose creative solutions for improvement
- Provide support in sustaining a 6S compliant facility
- Maintain schedules to ensure projects are completed on-time and within budget
- Evaluate and enhance the ergonomics of workplace operations
- Promote and maintain a safe manufacturing environment
- Evaluate, justify, and implement capital expenses that result in improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial or related field required
- Minimum 5 years of relevant manufacturing or warehouse/logistics experience required
- Strong understanding of 6S and Lean Manufacturing concepts required
- Experience with manufacturing execution systems (MES) preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Basic understanding of SMT and PCBA processes
- Green Belt preferred
- SAP knowledge preferred
