National Account Manager
Position Summary
The National Account Manager is to maintain current and establish new channels or accounts to sustain and grow sales and profitability.
Essential Job Functions
- Develop and implement year over year sales strategies with each Mass Account
- Define and achieve sales goals, profit & loss, budgets and opportunities in each business segment
- Liaison between Sales and Marketing/PD to develop new opportunities for quick growth and achieve profitability. Recommend products, promotions, displayers or new products that will be beneficial to Cosco and our retail customers
- Maintain a rolling 18-month forecast for all key accounts; active participant in S&OP meetings in order to achieve product demand, lock in production schedule and meet customer needs and expectations.
- Work with Dorel teams and reps to make sure our Mass Accounts promotional calendars have been presented with our Cosco products – Black Fridays, Back to College, Holidays for dining, etc. Once secured, make sure we hit all of the various timelines.
- Work directly with Key accounts to make sure service level is maintained. Communicate regional and national key insights to POS activity – what’s working – what’s not working - to all departments
- Participate in National Trade shows as needed by management. Develop various presentations for key accounts and maintain financial workbooks for each major accounts.
Qualifications
- Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field
- Prior Experience
- 6 or more years in sales of consumer products
- Hard Skills
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of Skype/Zoom
- Knowledge of Workfront software
- Strong ability to forecasting outcomes and prepare solutions.
- Ability to quickly develop a thorough knowledge of company products
- Strong account planning abilities
- Soft Skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills (both internal and external)
- Ability to cross-functionally collaborate with team members to produce high performance results
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, ability to come up with creative solutions to issues
- Effective time management; maximizes productivity
- Physical Requirements
- Those typical of standard office conditions.
- Position requires frequent use of vision, hearing, and speaking abilities.
- Light lifting up to 30 lbs. is moderately required.
- Must be able to walk, stand or sit for extended periods.
