Customer Service Representative [Hybrid]

Position Summary

This person is responsible for ensuring external customer order flow activity from order entry point, review process, monitoring, follow-up, shipping, and filing.  This position is in Wright City, MO.

Essential Job Functions

  • Order Management
    • Enter, maintain, and release customer orders.
    • During the order entry process recognize EDI errors and offer solutions to errors.
    • Review open order reports to ensure timely shipments.
    • Respond to customer inquiries regarding products, pricing, shipments, and invoicing.
    • Process sample orders as needed.
  • Vendor Agreements/Routing Guides 
    • Review and understand vendor agreements and customer routing guides.
    • Responsible for performing other short-term or long-term tasks and duties as assigned by the Director, Customer Service.
    • Maintain electronic customer purchase orders and/or related customer documentation.
    • Accomplish assigned tasks.
    • Prepare and distribute various customer service reports.


  • Education Requirements
    • High School diploma (required)
  • Prior Experience
    • 3-5 years’ experience within a customer service operation.
  • Necessary Skills
    • Strong internal customer focus and attention to detail.
    • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
    • Strong analytical skills.
    • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment.
    • Microsoft Office skills.
    • Experience in Infor software is a plus.
    • Communicate clearly and concisely, both written and verbal
    • Excellent listening and organization skills
    • Self-starter who effectively manages their own priorities and activities
    • Maintain existing customer base through proper servicing and complaint handling skills.


  • Physical Requirements
    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, climb, stoop, talk, hear, reach, grasp with hands, feel, and sit.  The employee is occasionally required to kneel, push and pull to move objects.
    • The employee must exert up to 5 pounds of force occasionally and/or a light amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.  Rarely, the individual is required to exert an average to heavy amount of force, 25 to 60 pounds, to lift, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
    • Specific vision abilities required by this job range from occasional attention to extremely demanding attention, as well as and close vision, far vision, color vision, field of vision, depth perception, and the ability to bring an object into sharp focus.
