Staff Engineer

 

POSITION OBJECTIVE

The Staff Engineer position in Marketing/Sales Management exists in order to monitor the performances of Business Divisions including Sales, Marketing, Distribution, and other business operations, and assist each Business Division to improve its performance in the most efficient and effective manner, by reducing costs and maximizing Company profit. This position also acts as a major coordinator among Business Divisions and Service Departments, and also between FPCUSA and FPC Taiwan by providing effective communication and preparing various management reports for Top Management review and decision making.

 

MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY

  1. Review Business Division sales contracts by performing profitability analysis, and suggest for pricing or other improvements, where applicable to increase company profit.
  2. Monitor Marketing/Sales activities to ensure that the corporate marketing systems and procedures are fully implemented in each Business Division, coordinate between Business Divisions and Management Center to evaluate, analyze, and propose for modification of systems and procedures to improve process efficiency.
  3. Provide the related language translation and assistance between FPCUS Executive and Taiwan executives.
  4. Assist each Business Division to manage the production/sales planning, inventory control, internal transfer price, profit forecast and analysis to maximize company profit.
  5. Monitor Distribution performance through performance reports and Philip Townsend Benchmarking result to ensure that Business Divisions understand the best industry practice and that continuous improvements are made to achieve the best industry performance.
  6. Review Business Divisions Expense Budget to ensure that it is realistic and under-control.
  7. Coordinate and optimize Business Divisions (such as Vinyl Chain) sales planning and business strategy to maximize company profit.
  8. Coordinate and generate FPCUSA Annual Income Projection for financing purposes and to assist in Top Management's decision making.
  9. Provide communication between Business Divisions and Taiwan related divisions to increase operational effectiveness and efficiency
  10. Perform special assignments as instructed.

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Preferable 1-3 years working experience in chemical/plastics Industry.
  2. MS Office skills such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc., excellent mathematical skills, and/or engineering quantitative analysis skills
  3. Bachelor of Science in Engineering is preferred
  4. Continual development as required such as: Standard Operating Procedure, Master Training Plan, Legal and Ethical Training, and other internal and external training as planned, developed, and prescribed.
  5. As required by the Position Function and its Major Areas of Accountability. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills in both English and Mandarin Chinese .  Must have regular, reliable attendance as well as the ability to work outside the regular schedule as required.
