Formosa Plastics is a privately held company headquartered in Livingston, New Jersey. Our core business, producing plastic resins and petrochemicals, takes place at three wholly-owned chemical manufacturing subsidiaries located in Delaware City, Delaware, Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Point Comfort, Texas.

I.    POSITION OBJECTIVE  

The Recruiting Administrator position provides support to FPC TX Management, Human Resource Management and staff in all talent acquisition needs.  This position will effectively recruit qualified candidates for applicable job opportunities, conduct interviews, and assist with the onboarding process for all new hires.  Assist employees with transitioning to FPC TX and immigration/non-immigration coordination, while providing an inviting, welcoming, and confidential environment for the employee.  This position will recommend solutions to problems based upon experience, company policies and most importantly government regulations and  laws. 

 

II.    MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY  

Candidate Sourcing: Use the best talent resources to ensure top candidate pool for open positions, keeping in mind all open positions when reviewing applications and resumes. Think outside of the box when finding hard to fill positions. Maintain lines of communication with qualified candidates to keep them engaged during the recruiting process.   

Hiring Practices: Utilize consistent hiring practices to establish rates of pay based on position. Stay current on the company’s organization structure, personnel policies, and federal and state laws regarding employment practices.  Arrange and conduct interviews in a timely manner, as department requests. Ensure hiring department is trained on hiring guidelines.  

Onboarding: Initiate onboarding process once all authorized approvals are received. Establish start date for new hires and conduct New Hire Orientation effectively to ensure a smooth transition into the Company. Ensure all new hire paperwork is completed properly and submitted to payroll in a timely manner. Ensure all onboarding documents are properly retained in personnel files.

Safety: Make a safe and healthy workplace for all employees in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Assure compliance with all company safety, health, and security programs and practices. Provide management and leadership timely and thorough reporting of all incidents to ensure all incidents are investigated properly. Take personal responsibility and ownership for safety, including bringing the attitude that “I am individually responsible for safety” to the job each and every day.

THM: Promote cleanliness and order through implementation of the Total House Keeping Maintenance program. Emphasize Nothing Touch Ground program and No Visual Pollution program. Maintain the plant like new condition.

 

III.    QUALIFICATIONS

  • A Minimum of one (1) to five (5) years in job related functions to Human Resources. Experience in new hire onboarding, recruiting, public speaking/presentations, I-9/EVerify and Immigration and non-immigration processing preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent plus a minimum of five (5) years in HR or related experience required or Associate’s degree with three (3) years in HR, or related experience preferred or Bachelor’s degree with one (1) year of in HR, or related experience preferred.
