Formosa Plastics is a privately held company headquartered in Livingston, New Jersey. Our core business, producing plastic resins and petrochemicals, takes place at three wholly-owned chemical manufacturing subsidiaries located in Delaware City, Delaware, Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Point Comfort, Texas.

I.    POSITION OBJECTIVE

To perform clerical/administrative functions in support of departmental goals to efficiently facilitate departmental operations.

II.    QUALIFICATIONS

1.    Bachelor’s degree relevant to the department or High School Graduate or Equivalent with 2 yrs. Clerical experience is required.
2.    Valid Driver’s License
3.    Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, preferred
4.    Knowledge of AS400, ERP Websmart, preferred
5.    Type 50 WPM required

III.    TRAINING

1.    Additional training is available after hire.

IV.    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1.    Perform various receptionist duties.
2.    Enter the time for all technicians.
3.    Prepare and assist with various departmental reports including monthly reports.
4.    Assist Managers, Supervisors, and Engineers with general administrative support as well as data management for TA activities and preparing PRs.
5.    Assist and maintain departmental manuals.
6.    Assist with department correspondence with the use of good verbal and written communication to articulate thoughts and express ideas effectively using oral, written, and non-verbal communication skills (to inform, instruct, and persuade), to multiple audiences, as well as to listen for meaning and understanding.
7.    Purchase and maintain office supplies.
8.    Process, track, and maintain department invoices.
9.    Process Credit Card expenditures for Department.
10.    Assist co-workers with AS400/WebSmart entry tasks as needed, data entry.
11.    Adhere to all company policies and procedures including but not limited to ISO, personnel, quality, environmental, health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
12.    Display cooperativeness, ability to work as a team player, and provide a constructive respectful attitude.
13.    Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
14.    Comply with NTG (Nothing Touching the Ground) requirements. Including daily audits.
15.    Be active in Operation Clean Sweep, and ensure employees are aware of and accountable for pellet loss prevention, containment, cleanup, and disposal.
16.    Perform other duties as assigned.

VI.    PHYSICAL ACTIVITY

1.    Climbing, ascending or descending ladder, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms. Body agility is emphasized.
2.    Balancing, maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing, or crouching on narrow, slippery or erratically moving surfaces.
3.    Stooping, bending body downward and forward by bending spine and waist. Example: catching samples, moving boxes.
4.    Kneeling: bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees.
5.    Crouching bends the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine.
6.    Crawling, moving about on hands and knees or hands and feet.
7.    Reaching, extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
8.    Standing, particularly for sustained periods of time.
9.    Walking, moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances.
10.    Pushing, using upper extremities to press against something with steady force in order to thrust forward, downward or outward.
11.    Pulling, using upper extremities to exert force in order to drag, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion.
12.    Lifting, raising objects from a lower to higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to position.

DEGREE OF LIFTING ON A REGULAR BASIS: 40 lbs.

13.    Fingering, picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working primarily with fingers rather than the whole hand or arm as in handling.
14.    Grasping, applying pressure to an object with fingers and palm.
15.    Feeling, perceiving attributes of objects such as size, shape, temperature or texture by touching with skin, particularly that of fingertips.
16.    Talking, expressing, or exchanging ideas by means of spoken words.
17.    Hearing, perceiving the nature of sounds with no less than a 40 db loss @ 500 Hz, 1,000 Hz, and 2,000 Hz with or without correction, Ability to receive
verbal communication and to make fine adjustments on machined parts.
18.    Repetitive motions, substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands and/or fingers.

VII.    VISUAL ACTIVITY REQUIRED

1.    Machine operation, inspection, and close assembly, clerical and administrative duties.
2.    Mobile equipment operations operate cars, trucks.
3.    Other criteria based on accuracy and neatness of work.
4.    Position requires individual to differentiate colors, depth, and perception.

VIII.    CONDITIONS SUBJECTED TO THIS POSITION

1.    Inside environmental conditions protected from weather conditions not necessarily room temperature conditions.
2.    Inside and outside conditions, no effective protection from weather.
3.    Subject to noise, causing reason to shout in order to be heard above the noise.
4.    Subject to unregulated atmospheric conditions caused by odors, fumes, gases, poor ventilation and dust.
5.    Not exposed to any adverse environmental conditions (usually office work).
