Job Summary: 
 
As the SOC Technical Director, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership to the Security Operations Center (SOC) team. Your primary objective will be to ensure the smooth operation of the SOC by leading the team in the implementation and management of technical security controls and processes, providing technical guidance, and overseeing the implementation of security solutions. You will also be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of the SOC's technical infrastructure, ensuring that it is robust, scalable, and efficient.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical leadership to the SOC team, including coaching, mentoring, and professional development.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain technical security controls and processes to protect the SOC's assets.
  • Lead the SOC team in the identification, analysis, and remediation of security incidents and threats.
  • Oversee the implementation of security solutions, including security information and event management (SIEM), intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDPS), and data loss prevention (DLP).
  • Design, implement, and maintain the SOC's technical infrastructure, including hardware, software, and network components.
  • Collaborate with other teams, such as the Cloud Consulting, IT, and DevOps teams, to ensure that the SOC's infrastructure integrates with the broader technology ecosystem.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and technologies, and ensure that the SOC's technical infrastructure and processes are updated accordingly.
  • Work closely with the SOC Operations Director and other stakeholders to develop and implement SOC strategies, policies, and procedures.
Required Education and Other Credentials:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • At least 7 years of experience in information security, with at least 3 years of experience in a SOC leadership role.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing technical security controls and processes, including SIEM, IDPS, and DLP.
  • Strong technical skills, including expertise in network security, malware analysis, and incident response.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to coach, mentor, and develop team members.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities.
  • Relevant certifications, such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC, are a plus.
