- Provide technical leadership to the SOC team, including coaching, mentoring, and professional development.
- Develop, implement, and maintain technical security controls and processes to protect the SOC's assets.
- Lead the SOC team in the identification, analysis, and remediation of security incidents and threats.
- Oversee the implementation of security solutions, including security information and event management (SIEM), intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDPS), and data loss prevention (DLP).
- Design, implement, and maintain the SOC's technical infrastructure, including hardware, software, and network components.
- Collaborate with other teams, such as the Cloud Consulting, IT, and DevOps teams, to ensure that the SOC's infrastructure integrates with the broader technology ecosystem.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and technologies, and ensure that the SOC's technical infrastructure and processes are updated accordingly.
- Work closely with the SOC Operations Director and other stakeholders to develop and implement SOC strategies, policies, and procedures.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- At least 7 years of experience in information security, with at least 3 years of experience in a SOC leadership role.
- Demonstrated experience in managing technical security controls and processes, including SIEM, IDPS, and DLP.
- Strong technical skills, including expertise in network security, malware analysis, and incident response.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to coach, mentor, and develop team members.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities.
- Relevant certifications, such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC, are a plus.
