Hajoca has over 400 locations nationwide, called Profit Centers; and at the foundation of our family of businesses is a
National Support Center (NSC) where Centers of Excellence are dedicated to enabling the success of our Profit Centers.

The HVAC Region Manager (RM) provides strategic direction and inspirational leadership to the Profit Centers within the region by building and supporting a team of world-class Profit Center Managers, direct reports.  The RM will promote the Hajoca business model, key business principles, and core values while maximizing operating performance, as measured by people development, sales growth, ROI, profit sharing per teammate, and market share.

 

This Region Manager role would include responsibility for Profit Centers in MS, TN, KY and GA.

Key Priorities, Responsibilities and Accountabilities

 

1. People... Select and Develop a World Class Team

 

·       Recruit, select, develop and retain a team of world class PCMs. Coach and provide ongoing feedback to motivate and develop them. 
·       Performance Management. Establish measurable performance objectives and provide verbal feedback and periodic written performance evaluations. Make sure that all PCMs understand the expectations by which their performance is being measured.
·       Inspirational leadership. Display confidence and promote a winning attitude, strong team dynamics, pride in achievements, collaboration and sharing; create a culture that encourages new ideas and entrepreneurial risk-taking.
·       Promote a culture of high expectations. Consistently challenge PCMs to grow and improve; to push themselves to become the best they can be and never settle into a mindset of complacency.
·       Teach and establish business practices. The RM provides oversight and coaching to our Management Development Program, Accelerated Management Development Program and identifies internal high-potential teammates.

 

2. Manage to Key Business and Financial Expectations

 

·       Drive world-class performance while maintaining a strong controls environment. Establish business and financial performance expectations.
·       Be familiar with all Standard Practice Instructions. The RM must support all SPI’s in the field and participate in all Operation Review closing meetings. In the event of ethical or legal complaints or violations, the RM will act in a fair and unbiased way towards a prompt resolution.
·       The RM will work with the National Support Center to identify business needs, support NSC initiatives and communicate field changes.

  

3. Business Development

 

·       Develop Customer and Supplier Relationships. Strengthen business relationships based on integrity, clear communication and mutual success.
·       Identify and promote strategies to increase sales, improve financial results and expand market relevance within the region.
·       Lead Expansion Opportunities. Foster industry relationships to create acquisition opportunities; research potential internal expansion target markets.

 

Skills and Experience

 

·       Accomplished leader with excellent communication skills and a stellar reputation for ethics and integrity.
·       Extensive wholesale distribution experience or equivalent in the HVAC segment, including P&L responsibility and growth initiatives.  
·       Driven, energetic, well-organized, entrepreneurial, disciplined, unpretentious, resilient, courageous, able to push-back to do what is right for the business/region.
·       Strategic thinker who possesses excellent general management, sales management and business development skills coupled with strong financial acumen.
·       Strong history of sales and sales management while building influential relationships
·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills
·       Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  

Location and Travel

 

The successful candidate will reside within the region, and in close proximity to a major air hub. Significant travel (60%) to the region’s locations and engagement with all Profit Center teams are critical for success.
