FROM THE CLASSROOM TO THE POOL! Come Splash Around The Pool With The Y!!!

If you enjoy being around splashing and watching others have a good time in the water, welcome to swimming and being a lifeguard! If you have a love for Aquatics and making a difference join us to create lifelong memories and have fun in the pool while observing pool safety.

GENERAL FUNCTION:

Do you love the water and making a difference? We're looking to add lifeguards to our growing staff. Under the direction of the Aquatic Coordinator/Program Specialist and Head Guard, the Lifeguard is responsible for providing a safe environment for all participants in and around the pool, which includes responding to emergencies and administering CPR and First Aid effectively (according to certifications-YMCA and American Heart Association guidelines).

KNOW HOW:

Must be at least 16 years of age.

Must have the ability to pass basic lifeguard skills test.

Must possess and have the ability to relate to and communicate with people of all ages, cultures, and abilities.

Maintain current certifications or obtain within 60 days of employment. Training provided.

$13.25 per hour

YMCA CENTER LOCATIONS:

South - Baxter

East - Benjamin Harrison, Ransburg

North - Fishers, Jordan, Westfield, Witham

West - Hendricks, OrthoIndy

Downtown - Irsay

SHIFTS FOR SUMMER ARE:

5AM-8:15AM

8AM-1PM

12:45PM-4PM

3:45PM-8:15PM
