HR & EHS Manager - La Vergne, TN
We are hiring a Human Resources and Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) Manager to help lead our growing plant in La Vergne, Tennessee.

Position Summary
The Human Resources and Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) Manager reports to the Operations Manager and manages Human Resources and Environmental Health and Safety activities for two LaVergne, TN manufacturing plants. The Human Resources and EH&S Manager serves as part of the location leadership team and supports initiatives to achieve safety, employee engagement and retention, productivity, quality, and financial goals of the plant.
Key Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensures the plant is compliant with applicable laws and company policies and procedures.
- Coordinates the recruiting and on-boarding activities to fill open positions at the plant.
- Champions team member relations efforts with the goal of team member engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
- Serves as day-to-day environmental, health, and safety resource for the plant with the support of the corporate EH&S team.
- Maintains accuracy and confidentiality of records related to team member information.
- Leads the annual performance review and merit increase processes for the plant.
- Resolves team member questions and problems.
- Occasional business travel is required, including travel during initial training period.
- Performs other duties as may be necessary to ensure the successful performance of the plant and team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, business, or a comparable discipline.
- 3 years of related experience in Human Resources in a production environment, manufacturing preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint is required.
- Prior experience with environmental health and safety and Workers’ Compensation claims management.
- Familiarity with payroll / timekeeping systems.
- Must be professional, a clear and confident communicator, and have a record of success in developing productive relationships with team members at all levels.
