SUMMARY
Audits the work activities of production
process to verify conformance of activities to engineering and quality
assurance requirements by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Performs
production inspections to ensure compliance to Design, Quality and
Customer Requirements (1st Pc. Inspections, Roving inspections,
Final skid inspections, Dock Audit Inspections, Work Cell Audits, etc.).
- Performs
Qualitative lab testing of raw materials to ensure compliance to Design, Quality
and Customer Requirements (MFI, Density, Orientation, Moisture, color,
visual).
- Perform
Receiving Inspections of Purchased goods to ensure compliance to Quality
and Customer Requirements (Raw materials, components, kits, hardware).
- Perform
Calibrations on Inspection measurement equipment/gages (calibrations, repairs,
record maintenance) to applicable test methods & standards.
- Manage
Quality records to ensure compliance to Quality and Customer Requirements
(verification, filing, organization, retention).
- Processing
Customer returns (receipt, inspection, disposition, tagging).
- Processing
of nonconforming product to ensure compliance to Design, Quality and
Customer Requirements (documentation, containment, identification, sort
management).
- Provides
test results to various departments upon request (i.e., Production,
Material Handling, Purchasing, Engineering, Extrusion etc.).
- Performs
data entry of lab testing results, receiving inspection results, NCR
information, dock audits, customer return results, calibration results.
- Writes
and submits audit reports to supervisory personnel.
- Provides
support and/or scheduling of Rail, Silo and Pelletizer processes, where
applicable.

QUALIFICATION
REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION
and/or EXPERIENCE
- High school
diploma or general education degree (GED); three to five years related
experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and
experience.
- American Society
for Quality Control (ASQC) Mechanical Inspector (CMI) or Quality
Technician (CQT) is desired.
- Ability to
actively participate on problem solving/quality improvement teams.
- Ability to perform
basic computer skills.
- Ability to add,
subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole
numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and
percent in order to draw and interpret bar graphs.
LANGUAGE
SKILLS
Fluency in English is required. Ability to read
and interpret documents such as drawings, operating instructions, and procedure
manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak
effectively before groups of employees in the organization.
REASONING
ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to
carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to
deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized
situations.

WORK AVAILABLITY AND TRAVEL
Must
have the ability to work all shift schedules, periodic overtime and be
available for periodic weekend work.
