Summary / Primary Role:

The Senior Technical Project Manager will lead cross-functional teams to analyze Odyssey's business requirements, manage large technology implementation projects, and research, design, integrate, and deploy new technologies.  The Senior Technical Project Manager will also manage effective relationships with internal stakeholders, contractors, technology vendors and service providers. The ideal candidate should be passionate about learning Odyssey’s business and be driven to deliver on impactful technology projects to support our teams and customers.

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design, plan and manage complex IT projects
  • Research, evaluation, design, integration, and delivery of major IT solutions
  • Utilize technical project management experience to help determine alternative solutions as needed
  • Partner with the technical teams to build roadmaps that deliver technology enabled processes while addressing technical debt
  • Manage stakeholder, partner, vendor & client relationships and facilitate collaboration between these teams
  • Develop and manage budgets for projects

Qualifications and Key Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a relevant field, or equivalent certifications and work experience
  • 10+ years of experience in designing and implementing complex technical solutions
  • Demonstrated experience in the management of large IT projects and leading cross-functional and dispersed project teams
  • Strong strategic decision making & long-term planning abilities to manage resources and deliverables
  • Broad knowledge of project management techniques, processes, methods, and best practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead and motivate teams
  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to escalate challenges with resources and/or solutions with hitting agreed upon timelines
  • Experience in the supply chain industry a plus

Work Environment:

Normal office environment.   

 

Physical Demands:

Must operate normal office equipment such as a phone and computer. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
