Position Summary:

The software quality assurance engineer will be responsible for test planning, test design, and test execution of the software that supports our product information management (PIM) implementation practice. This role will work closely with solutions architects/consultants and business analysts to understand business requirements of stakeholders and to ensure software enhancements and fixes meet the documented needs.  

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Design test plans, scenarios, scripts and/or procedures based on acceptance criteria
  • Document test procedures to ensure replicability and compliance 
  • Design and develop automated testing tools 
  • Update automated testing scripts to ensure accuracy 
  • Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates
  • Conduct software compatibility tests with programs
  • Create and maintain a database of known test defects
  • Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product design, schedules, or potential problems
  • Develop or specify standards, methods, or procedures to determine product quality or release readiness
  • Perform initial debugging procedures by reviewing configuration files, logs, or code pieces to determine breakdown source
  • Test system modifications to prepare for implementation 
  • Provide feedback and recommendations on software usability and functionality 
  • Monitor bug resolution efforts and track success
  • Work across business units and with cross-functional teams

Key Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience of quality assurance, software development of a related field.
  • Experience in Selenium, Cypress, Cucumber, Robot Framework is added advantage.
  • Experience in Python or Java
  • Experience writing, developing and executing test plans
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously 
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills 
  • Functional, Regression, Performance, Integration, End to End testing experience
  • Note: Candidates with PIM or STIBO knowlegde or experiecne is must. (not mandatory)

Desired Skills:

  • Experience working with a PIM system
  • Stibo STEP knowledge
  • Experience in various delivery methodologies:  Waterfall, Agile, & Scaled Agile
  • SQL knowledge
  • Experience with Jira or other defect tracking tools
  • Experience with Automation of test scripts for regression testing
  • Qtest Explorer
