As an IT Systems Engineer with an ERP focus, you will be responsible for overseeing the implementation, customization, maintenance, and optimization of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system within our organization. You will serve as the primary point of contact for all ERP-related activities, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful integration and utilization of the ERP system to support business operations and strategic objectives. Secondarily, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless integration of various IT systems and applications within our organization. Your responsibility will be to design, develop, implement, and maintain integration solutions that enable the efficient flow of data and processes across different platforms and systems.

Responsibilities:

  1. ERP Implementation and Configuration: Lead the implementation of the ERP system, working closely with key stakeholders to define business requirements, configure system settings, and customize functionalities to meet the organization's needs. Coordinate data migration efforts and ensure the successful transition from legacy systems to the new ERP platform.
  2. System Administration and Maintenance: Manage user access, security settings, and system configurations within the ERP environment. Monitor system performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement enhancements to optimize system functionality, reliability, and scalability. Perform regular system updates, patches, and upgrades to ensure compliance with software vendor requirements and industry best practices.
  3. Data Management and Integration: Manage the integration of the ERP system with other business applications, databases, and third-party systems to facilitate seamless data exchange and interoperability. Develop data migration strategies, mapping data fields, and ensuring data integrity and accuracy throughout the migration process. Implement data governance policies and procedures to maintain data quality, consistency, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  4. System Documentation and Compliance: Maintain comprehensive documentation of ERP system configurations, customizations, and processes, ensuring alignment with internal standards and regulatory requirements. Conduct periodic audits and assessments of ERP system controls, configurations, and security measures to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
  5. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including IT teams, business analysts, and application owners, to gather requirements, prioritize integration projects, and ensure alignment with business objectives. Communicate project status, risks, and issues effectively to stakeholders and project sponsors.
  6. Testing and Quality Assurance: Develop and execute comprehensive test plans to validate the functionality, performance, and reliability of integration solutions. Troubleshoot integration issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to optimize integration performance and reliability.

 Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven experience (3-5 years) in implementing, configuring, and supporting ERP systems, such as Sage Intacct or Certinia (formerly FinancialForce).
  • Strong technical proficiency in ERP system administration, configuration, and customization.
  • Solid understanding of business processes, workflows, and functional areas across various departments (e.g., finance, supply chain, human resources).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including business users, IT teams, and external vendors.
  • Experience with data formats and standards, such as XML, JSON, CSV, and SQL is a plus.
  • Knowledge of ERP implementation methodologies, best practices, and industry standards.
  • Experience with data analytics, reporting tools, and business intelligence solutions is a plus.
