Backend Engineer - Mexico

We are seeking a Backend Engineer to join the myVEGAS Classic development team. This role focuses on creating and improving server-side systems. The team builds reliable, large-scale production systems that deliver that gameplay, supporting systems, and the tools to manage them. Usability and stability underpin every decision we make, and we are looking for someone who can help us build solutions. The Backend Engineer will work directly with business stakeholders to define features, project managers to scope and schedule deliverables and QA testers to achieve high-quality products.

This is a remote position for candidates in Mexico. 

Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop robust software products in our C# .NET 
• Integrate third party APIs
• Deploy high-quality software products to our Azure cloud infrastructure
• Develop tools and processes for efficient operation
• Support the live products with troubleshooting and bug fixing
• Review code with peers, create technical documents and share best practices.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years of professional software development in C# .NET.
• Track record of delivering high-quality solutions using microservices, containers, and events.
• Proficiency with LINQ, functional programming, or the use of first-class functions.
• Experience interfacing with SQL and NoSQL databases
• Experience writing and maintaining unit tests
• Experience with Azure, Jenkins, and CI/CD best practices.
• Thorough understanding of HTTP technologies and REST/JSON interfaces.
• Excellent communication and organization skills when working with cross teams such as product managers, QA, and Customer Service.
• Strong debugging, profiling, and analytic skills.

Preferred

• Experience in casino games development
• Professional experience with OCaml, F#, Haskell, or similar functional programming language.
• Experience architecting highly scalable backend systems.
• Python and JavaScript experience
• Experience developing SQL queries for data analysis
• University degree in Computer Science or similar
