The IT Support Specialist is a dynamic and critical role within the organization, dedicated to ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of all IT systems and services. This position encompasses a broad range of responsibilities, from direct desktop support to managing server and network infrastructure. The IT Support Specialist is the backbone of our technology environment, providing comprehensive support to ensure that all employees can work effectively and securely with the technology tools available to them.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide onsite helpdesk support during core business hours through ticketing systems for PLAYSTUDIOS end users in both your local office and in remote offices.
  • Provide meeting support and Video Conferencing Support for business-critical meetings. Also support the AV requirements for our All-Hands events.
  • Setup hardware, software, and accounts for new employees.
  • Inventory hardware assets and software licenses.
  • Manage the local office network. Make relevant network config changes, audit and flag potential issues and support general network uptime.
  • Support all IT Projects.  Help ensure flawless execution of IT Project throughout the complete Project lifecycle.
  • Asset Management and Procurement.
  • Help support current IT Policies and Procedures. Maintain our Confluence presence and ensure all content is accurate and up to date.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an IT Support Specialist or relevant position.
  • In-depth understanding of computer systems (hardware/software), networks, and operating systems.
  • Familiarity with endpoint management systems such as JAMF and EPM.
  • Proficiency with operating systems such as OSX and Windows 11.
  • Practical experience with an ITSM system such as Freshservice or Service Now.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+) are a plus.

Working Conditions

  • This is a full-time office position 5 days a week.
  • This position may require occasional evening and weekend work to meet project deadlines or to perform system maintenance.
  • The role involves a mix of desk-based work and physical activity, including installing and configuring computer systems and occasionally lifting and transporting computer equipment.
