Service Cashier

Job Summary:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as a Service Cashier. The Service Cashier is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while accurately and efficiently processing customer transactions. This position is the first point of contact for our customers and will be a friendly face to greet and assist them. Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and customer service skills will be essential in this role. Responsibilities:

-  Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.

- Process customer payments accurately and efficiently.

- Provide change when needed.

- Answer customer inquiries.

- Stock shelves with merchandise.

- Issue receipts and refunds.

- Operate a cash register.

- Process credit and debit card payments.

- Refers customers who have questions to the appropriate individual.

- Handles customer complaints with integrity and poise and, when necessary, refers dissatisfied customers to the appropriate individuals for resolution.

- Maintain a clean and organized workstation.

-  Monitor inventory levels.

- Balance the cash register at the end of the shift.

-  Assist with customer returns and exchanges.

- Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Required Skills/Abilities:

- Excellent customer service skills.

- Excellent verbal communication skills.

- Ability to operate cashier’s register, calculator, or related equipment.

- Basic Math skills to give change and refunds.

- Knowledge of company’s services and products and customer-related policies.

Education/ Experience:

- High school diploma or equivalent required.

- Successful on-the-job training (cash handling).

Physical Requirement:

- Prolonged periods of standing or working on cash register or related equipment.

- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.

• Ability to perform repetitive movements over long periods of time.
