Automotive Fleet Sales Associate - Kearny Mesa Ford & Kia

Non-Exempt - Hourly wage plus incentive compensation plan 

Job Summary:

As a Fleet Salesperson, you will be responsible for organizing and optimizing our transportation fleet to ensure we are meeting customer demands and exceeding expectations.

Essential Functions:

• Generate business by soliciting commercial and fleet accounts over the phone, internet, in person or mail
• Works directly with business, fleet, and private guests to maximize sales and profit for the fleet department
• Responds to guest’ inquiries over the phone or internet in a timely and professional manner to ensure guest satisfaction
• Introduces guests to dealership operations, including the service and parts departments, to emphasize to guests the quality and efficiency of the dealerships service operations
• Maintains an owner follow-up system that encourages repeat and referral business and contributes to guest satisfaction
• Maintains and achieves the sales and customer satisfaction objectives set by management
• Works with current service customers
• Other duties may be assigned as needed

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid California state sales license
• Valid Driver’s license and safe driving record; required to have California within 30 days
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
• Ability to perform all essential functions of the job description

Preferred Qualifications 

• Ability to monitor fleet budgets
• Strong organizational and problem solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of safety requirements
• Ability to set and meet deadlines
• Ability to operate the stores point of sales (POS) system

Physical Demands: 

• Regularly stands, walks, sits; uses hands; reaches with hands and arms; talks and hears. Occasionally climbs or balances; stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls; lifts up to 25 pounds 
• Must be able to inspect fleet damage in a variety of weather conditions.
• Good vision to inspect repair work.
• Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections
  
  

Environment/Noise: 

• Must be able to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present.
