Temporary Product Specialist
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Act as a business center and liaison to internal cross-functional divisions to plan and implement product management by integrating diverse functions to maximize product profitability and achieve company strategic goals while meeting customer needs. Analyze, plan and facilitate multiple processes with critical impact on profitability including cost, price, inventory, volume, demand, production, capacity, product/account mix, and other related factors.
Major Areas of Accountability
- Production/inventory management: Work with Sales to review target, customer requirement, capacity, and logistics, etc., and monitor to maintain optimal inventory level. Prepare monthly activity reports.
- Order/supply chain management: review orders, monthly shipments and coordinate with other related parties for effective order processing and optimize supply chain management.
Analysis/special projects: gather, compile, analyze, report, on, volume, product/account mix, cost, logistics, rail car fleet utilization, and inventory.
QUALIFICATION REQUIRED:
- Strong analytical and computer skills in Microsoft Office. AS 400 skills a plus but not required.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication (oral & written) skills a must.
- Ability to read, review, analyze and prepare computer reports, spreadsheets, and sales ledgers
- Understanding of Spanish a plus
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE JOB POSITION
Some travel to the plant sites, as well as attendance at customer and industry gatherings, at short notice.
