Summary
The Leadership Development Trainer has the overall responsibility for Alta’s Leadership Development training program.  This position works with the Vice President, Global Talent to assess leadership training needs and requests, target audience, develops goals and expected outcomes, delivery options and timelines.  

The Leadership Development Trainer’s primary responsibility will be to deliver Alta’s leadership development modules to empower our leaders at all levels. In addition, they may be asked to develop, review  and evaluate the Alta  leadership development program.  This role will implement new training techniques and processes to keep training engaging and effective. The Leadership Development Trainer ensures all new leaders receive the required leadership training modules and evaluates the overall program for training effectiveness of both content and delivery. This role will work closely with the Vice President, Global Talent to create a process to identify and prioritize additional leadership development modules to continue to enhance and evolve Alta’s leadership development training program. 
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Other duties may be assigned:

•    Develop and update leadership development curriculum based on industry best practices, organizational needs, and emerging leadership trends.
•    Conduct instructor-led Leadership Development Training for leaders at various levels within the organization applying adult learning theory to presentations and delivery
•    Assist in developing and evaluating the goal and objectives of the Leadership Development training program
•    Confer with the Vice President, Global Talent and Operations to assess and prioritize business needs requiring additional training for leaders 
•    Work with Operations and Corporate Support teams to incorporate any learning/feedback from performance data, Management Reviews, and gaps in leadership skills and competences into training materials 
•    Formulate training process outlines and create and implement the most effective and engaging training methods, such as individual training, lectures, demonstrations, web-based training, meetings and workshops, to meet learning objectives 
•    Develop and implement training assessments, certifications and evaluations of training processes, procedures and activities to ensure consistent and effective learning by leaders
•    Ensure accurate and complete training records are maintained
•    Coordinate and execute coaching and continuous improvement initiatives to achieve key goals for all leaders post-training
•    Identify and apply strategies for encouraging active engagement of leadership trainees
•    Prepare training reports, as requested
•    Prepare for and manage actions necessary to address needed surges in leadership and rapid training related to event-specific (e.g. seasonal ramps, high-volume events, etc.) 
•    Stay abreast of industry trends, leadership theories, and best practices in adult learning
Leadership Responsibilities
Supervises and carries out leadership responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, Guiding Principles and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, retaining, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing and resolving issues.   The position also requires active leadership in the way of supporting strategic initiatives as well as personal development and application of Six Sigma methodologies.  All leadership positions may be expected to attain Six Sigma Green Belt or other similar “LEAN” certification.

•    The ideal candidate will have a strong background in leadership development, adult learning methodologies, and a passion for cultivating leadership excellence.
•    Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
•    Strong understanding of leadership principles, emotional intelligence, and organizational behavior.
•    Possess coaching, counseling, and training abilities.
•    Proven ability to design, develop, implement and assess training curriculum and delivery for effectiveness.
•    Ability to present to small and large groups of varying levels. 
•    Ability to develop training programs following adult learning theory and appropriate design principles.
•    Experience working with a Learning Management System (LMS) to deliver, track, and manage online training programs.
•    Ability to analyze data for trends and assess gaps in understanding based on data analysis.
•    Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
•    Ensure quality and compliance standards are followed.
•    Demonstrate passion for the overall consumer experience, leadership and team development.   

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE  

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university required; five years of training and leadership experience required, preferably in a Contact Center environment.

TECHNOLOGY SKILL BASE 

This position requires a working knowledge of computer technology that includes: Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and knowledge of e-learning authoring tools (e.g. Articulate) to create interactive and multimedia-rich online courses. Individuals must possess the ability to learn and understand new software and other technology applications as introduced by the Client and Alta Resources.
